George A. Stinnett, 89, of Portland, passed away at his home on October 27, 2016.   He was born July 31, 1927, at home in South Portland, Me, the son of late Jesse W. Stinnett and Margaret Pray.   He attended school at Fort McKinley on Great Diamond Island while his father was serving in the Army.  They later moved to Portland where he attended Portland Schools. George joined the service as a Combat Merchant Marine at the age of 15 serving on many Liberty Ships, such as the S.S  Oakey L. Alexander, which split in two off the coast...

Portland, ME -- Henrietta Juhl passed away in the afternoon on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Gosnell Hospice House in Scarborough, Maine after a short illness. Henrietta was born in Holyoke, Massachusetts on July 27, 1921. South Portland, ME – Brian L. Witham, 71, of South Portland passed away peacefully on Friday, October 21, 2016 after battling a long illness.  He was the husband of Nancy A. Gloria “Babe” Perry, 70, died Saturday October 15, 2016 from complications of Alzheimer’s disease.  She was at home surrounded by her family. Gloria was born in Millinocket, Maine to Arthur and Sophie (Madore) McLean. She attended South Portland schools and lived at Fort Preble Military Fort growing up. She married Randall Perry of Portland and they celebrated more than 50 wonderful years of marriage together. She is predeceased by both her parents and a sister, Dot Damush of California.
