Oakland, ME - Mary Arlene (Kendall) Watton passed away peacefully October 29th 2017 of natural causes at the Glenridge Nursing home in Augusta, ME.
Arlene was born September 21st, 1937 in Boston Massachusetts to her parents: Mary Louise (White) Kendall and Earl Kendall of Everett, Massachusetts. She is survived by her brothers James Kendall of Brocton, MA/Florida and John Kendall of Connecticut. She was predeceased by her sisters Beverly Spinelli of Malden, MA and Florence Spinelli of Grapevine, Texas. She was the loving Aunt to Donna, Pam, and Mary; Linda, Sal, Karen, and Marc; Lisa, Earl, Christine, and Jamie; John, Brian, Leo, and Dani.
Arlene graduated Everett High School in 1955. She was a volunteer at the Everett Salvation Army for Sunbeams for many years. She was very devoted to her all her family and friends. She liked long walks and her black coffee. Arlene worked for many years as a dietary aide at Annemark Nursing Care facility in Revere, MA. She retired in 2010 and moved to Oakland, Maine with her niece Donna and her two cats Mikey and Noella.
As a youth Arlene and her siblings would spend summers in Old Orchard Beach and their grandparent’s house on Union Street where they would attend bible camp and meet with their cousins the Bishops. Arlene enjoyed reminiscing about her time spent at the Maine Coastline O.O.B. with the Bishops and the Whites.
Graveside services will be held Thursday November 2nd, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the Lakeview Cemetery, Belgrade Ave., Oakland, ME.
