James J. "Joe" Daigle

Lewiston, ME -  James J. “Joe” Daigle, 60, was surrounded by his family when he passed away on January 20, 2019 at Central Maine Medical Center.

Joe was born in Atlanta, Georgia the son of James G. Daigle and Daphne Anne Madano.

In 1976 Joe graduated from Lisbon High School.  While in high school Joe worked at Blacks Garage in Lisbon Falls.  After high school he worked for Maine Electronics and RI Mitchel.  In 1992 he went to work for Micronetixx Communications.  His loyalty to Micronetixx and the people within the company kept him there until his passing.

As a young adult he loved electronics.  Joe loved taking things apart to see how they worked.  He was an avid ham radio and CB operator.  Joe also enjoyed fishing.  But his greatest pleasure came from hanging with friends and family laughing, talking and sharing a good meal.

Joe was a soft-spoken man whose kindness, gentle spirit, and integrity will be missed by all who knew him.

Joe leaves behind his two sons, Joseph Daigle his fiancé Amber Rene and their son Grayson of Jacksonville, Florida and Ben Berwick and his partner Mary of Jacksonville, North Carolina.

Joe came from a blended family and believed that family sometimes didn’t mean blood.

He leaves behind his 4 sisters Tina Goddard of Orangeburg, South Carolina, Ellen Haggett of Lisbon Falls, Barbara Manocal of Lisbon Falls, Brenda Black of Topsham, and his brother Donald LaHue and wife Robin of Northfield Falls, Vermont.  Joe also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will miss their Uncle Joey very much.

Joe's Celebration of Life will be held February 16, 2019 from 1-3 at the MTM Center 18 School St. Lisbon Falls.

I had the privilege of working with Joe since he began his career with us at Micronetixx in 1992. (Micronetixx had a different company name and organization in 1992 but still had the same wonderful group of people.) As the principal owner and principal founder of the Company, and its chief engineer, I have been sincerely honored to have worked with Joe for these 26 years. Joe was an absolute delight to work with. He was totally reliable, trustworthy and had extraordinary integrity. I have been in our engineering business for nearly 40 years, and the only phrase that I can think of to describe him is that he was absolutely brilliant! Every project that he tackled for us Joe turned into a success. There is a huge gaping hole in our company family created when Joe passed. Fare Well my friend!!! Yours are very, very hard shoes to fill. Thank you for being such a wonderful human being! We miss you!!
