James E. Brown

James E. Brown

James E. Brown, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones on Wednesday, August 7th. He was born on June 14th, 1943 in Framingham Massachusetts, to the late Arthur and Winnifred Brown. In 1970 he married his loving wife Donna (Seeley) Brown. Together they relocated to Portland Maine in 1978.

He is predeceased by his parents and daughter April Jean Brown. He is survived by  his wife Donna Brown, his best friend and brother Jon Brown, his children Donna, Annie, Jimmy, Mikey, and Kyle,  “adopted” children, Lynn, Melissa, Samantha, Justin, Phil, and many grandchildren, lots of extended family, and whom ever else he took under his wings and loved as his own along the way.
Jimmy was beyond charismatic, inventive, and mechanically inclined. He was everyone’s friend. He had many interests and hobbies, his top few being his model cars and computers. He had worked numerous of different odd jobs and most recently could be seen cruising Congress St on his scooter or having coffee with his crew at D.D.

Jimmy was one of the most genuine, loyal, and understanding men; as well as headstrong, and very set in his ways. Nothing meant more to him than his family. He will forever be remembered for all the strong qualities mentioned above and missed beyond measure.

Services will be held at the Salvation Army Church located on 297 Cumberland Ave, Portland Maine at 10AM Saturday, August 24th. Followed by a reception/celebration of life at 100 State Street in Portland in the community room.
