Gloria “Babe” Perry, 70, died Saturday October 15, 2016 from complications of Alzheimer’s disease. She was at home surrounded by her family.
Gloria was born in Millinocket, Maine to Arthur and Sophie (Madore) McLean. She attended South Portland schools and lived at Fort Preble Military Fort growing up. She married Randall Perry of Portland and they celebrated more than 50 wonderful years of marriage together.
She is predeceased by both her parents and a sister, Dot Damush of California.
Her other siblings include Jack Mclean of Brunswick, Issabelle Shea of Thomaston, Robert Mclean of Westbrook and Helen Daly of Georgia.
She is survived by her husband Randall Perry of Westbrook and canine friend “Sally” and three children, Terry Cuomo of Otisfield, Tammy Jacobs of Westbrook and Joseph Perry also of Westbrook as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In her younger years Gloria was an avid roller skater, golfer and she played on two different bowling leagues for many years. She also had a candy making business that she and Tammy demonstrated parties for. She loved going to craft fairs and yard sales with her daughter Terry. Gloria also did ceramics for many years with both of her daughters.
Of course we cannot forget her true love of Beano in which her mother shared as well. They were both very well known in the local Beano halls all over the Greater Portland area.
Services will be held at South Windham Community Church, 31 Main St. Windham, ME 04062 on October 29th, 2016 at 3:00PM.
