Forrest E. Proctor


Lewiston- Forrest Proctor, 73, of Harrison ME died on October 11, 2017 at Central Maine Medical center.  He was the of Betty (Hilton) Proctor. He was born in Portland ME to Leland and Arlene (Darling) Proctor. He graduated from Portland High School and attended Business College.

Forrest served in the Navy during the Vietnam War on the USS Intrepid (cvs-11), he honored his country with six years of service. After returning home he became a self-employed truck driver for many years, finishing his working life with K & R in Bridgton.

He was a very social person including: Boy scouts, the Lions club, Ellis River House Club, Waterford Fair and a Volunteer Fire Fighter for Harrison. He was known for his love of spending time with his family fishing, hunting and camping; it was also important to him to help others.

He is survived by: His wife of 32 Betty and their children; Bessie Daniels and husband David, Victoria Plummer and companion Garrett, Scott Proctor, Kenny Kist and wife Tara, Rusty Kist and wife Sandy, Joshua Kist and wife Melissa, Erin Proctor, Richard Proctor, Ronnie Arlington. He is predeceased by his son Tommy Kist. Forrest is also survived by his sister Judy Morgan and her husband Paul; he is predeceased by his sisters Arletta and Bonita.  He also leaves 24 grandchildren: Jessica, Tracey, Jeremy, Christian, Elizabeth, Emily, John, Jacob, Patrick, Kurt, Dominic, Chance, Kaleb, Kyle, Karlee, Mackayla, Connor, Lukus, Cody, Tyler, Cassandra, Tanner, Ambyr, Riley and 13 Great grandchildren: Joseph, Shyla, Astra, Mia, Cassandra, Colin, Hailey, Oliver, Sophie, Natalie, Holden, Natalie, Riley and on Great on the way.

A service of remembrance will be held at Grace Fellowship Church, 29 Poplar Dr Oxford ME at 2 pm on October 17, 2017

A celebration of Johnny’s life was held on October 14, 2017 for family and friends.
