Eric V. York

Eric V. York

Eric Vaughn York was born at Maine Medical Center on August 17, 1965. He was the son of Floyd and Marlene York.

HE graduated from Yarmouth High School, a member of the class of 1983 and also attended Portland Christian Academy.

He had a love for Baseball and was a great player. Carlene York his beloved Aunt shared the story of how his cousin Robert York reluctantly served as his catcher but disliked the sting of the fastball.  His sister Debbie would come and play Bingo with Eric at his residence and he enjoyed these visits and games.

For many years he worked by his father’s side in construction.

He was predeceased by both parent; his brother Russell York in 1959, and his Grandparents Mary and Erving York.

He is survived by his two sisters, Vitaline and her husband Robert MarCoux of Yarmouth and Debbie York of Rumford. He also leaves his Nephews, Christopher Marcoux, Sean Marcoux, and Christopher Peirce and his Niece, Erin May Parker.

His home for the last 25 years was at the Portland Community Center where he was well loved by many and loved to help the elder residents by going to the store for their needs and blessing them.

We as a family would like to express our thanks and send our love to all who loved and accepted him as family.
