Duane A. "TJ" Townsend

Buxton, ME – Duane A. “TJ” Townsend, 33, passed away after a long illness on Sunday, February 3, 2019.

He was born on January 18, 1986 in Houlton, ME the son of Duane W. of Island Falls and Cynthia S. (Waterman) Townsend and her husband Darrell of Buxton.  He grew up in Buxton attending local area schools and graduated from Bonny Eagle High School in 2005.

TJ was an avid movie lover, especially Anime and he enjoyed his PlayStation as well as hanging out with Luke, Michael and his nieces and nephews.  He was also quite the History buff and had a sarcastic sense of humor. 

Besides his parents he is survived by his five sisters, Kimberly DuEst and her husband David of Lady Lake, FL, Peggy Pulcifur and her husband Matthew of Limerick, Jennifer Pyle and her husband Jodi of Windham, Tessa Iezzi and her husband James of Auburn and Trista Townsend of Portland. He also leaves his maternal grandmother Carol Waterman of Scarborough and his paternal grandfather Almon Townsend of Houlton as well as several nieces and nephews.  He was also the brother of the late Kelly Waterman who died in 1990.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Potluck celebration of his life on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 2 pm at the Buxton Grange Hall, 15 Salmon Falls Road, Buxton.  There will also be a memorial service on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 5 pm at the Townsend residence, 213 Mary Jane Road Buxton, ME

    So very sorry for loss of TJ. Life seems so unfair to lose someone so dear to you. The Bible provides true comfort for grieving family. Revelation 21:4; tells us: “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.” May you find comfort in these words and your loving memories.
