Portland, ME - Brian Glenn Greenwood, age 63, of Gorham, passed away unexpectedly after a cardiac arrest on June 4, 2019, at Maine Medical Center.
Brian was born in Littleton, New Hampshire on January 9, 1956 to Polly and Carroll Greenwood. He grew up in North Woodstock, New Hampshire, in the heart of the White Mountains. He was salutatorian of Lin-Wood High School class of 1974, where he was a captain of both his baseball and basketball teams. He graduated with a degree from UNH’s Whittemore School of Business and Economics and worked in the financial services field for his entire career.
Brian and his wife Susan (Higham) married in 1984 and lived in Gorham for 25 years. Brian was a devoted family man, and all who met him quickly learned that his pride and joy was his daughter Nina. In addition to his beloved wife and daughter, he leaves behind his father Carroll, his younger brother Leighton, and many other treasured relatives and friends.
When not with his family, Brian was happiest on the golf course. He also enjoyed long distance bicycling, skiing, bowling, and a great game of cribbage.
A celebration of Brian’s life will be held at Cressey Road United Methodist Church, 81 Cressey Road in Gorham, ME on Thursday, June 20 at 1:00 PM.
