Raymond H. "Ramie" Frank

Old Orchard Beach, ME – Raymond H. ”Ramie” Frank, 63, passed away unexpectedly at his Father’s home in Scarborough on Sunday, April 1, 2018.

 

Ramie was born October 30, 1954 in Portland, ME a son of Raymond G. Frank of Scarborough and the late Shirley M. (LaPlain) Frank.

 

Ramie worked for EW Noyes and Sons for many years as well as doing construction for many more.  Ramie loved going to The Eagles Club and playing pool and could also be found playing cards.  He also enjoyed long drives an traveled to New Hampshire often.

 

Besides his Father, he will be forever missed by his daughter, Amanda J. Shaw of Old Orchard Beach, ME. He also leaves his four sisters Sandy Boothby and her husband Tom of Portland, ME, Valerie Chadwick and her husband John of Portland ME, Terry Reynolds and her husband Craig of South Portland, ME and Melissa Frank of Portland, ME; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends.  He was also the brother of the late Kevin Frank.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 from 11a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Wilde Memorial Chapel within Evergreen Cemetery, 672 Stevens Ave., Portland.

I first met Ramie when my family move ed from Lubec to Portland. I was about 8 years old. We lived on Pearl St. Ramie and his family lived on the corner of Oxford St and Pearl St. The Davies lived on the 2 or 3rd floor and the franks lived on 2nd or 1st floor. I remember ramie was a very caring person back then. He protected us from any fights, drugs etc. all through the years all our friends on Oxford street and around the area. I have so many memeories of Ramie. My Mom loved Ramie. she passed away in 2006 and ramie was there for her funeral. My condolence to the family. I would like to say hi to Sandy, Valerie terry and Me;issa. Sorry Amanda for your dad loss. Hi Mr. Frank (father) hope all is well with all of you.
