Jules N. Vachon

 

AUBURN – Jules Vachon, 81, of St Gedeon, Canada, died on Monday, Jan 8th at home with his family by his side.  He is survived by his beloved wife Theresa Vachon.  

 

He was born on August 26, 1936 in St Gedeon, Canada. He was predeceased by parents Joseph & Helen Vachon. He was educated in Canada and moved to the US when 18 years old to work. He then served in the Armed forces for several years before returning to work for Callahan Bros until his retirement.  

 

Jules was a known as a hard worker and a loving husband, father and friend to anyone who knew him. He was a wonderful neighbor plowing, shoveling snow & offering any assistance that they needed. He was always there to provide for his neighbors, friends & family. He loved to hunt, fish & play cards. He enjoyed traveling, cruising & meeting his spiritual brothers & sisters from all over the world. 

 

He was an active member of Jehovah’s Witnesses entering fulltime preaching work after his retirement. He enjoyed preaching the “Good News of the Kingdom” to everyone he met. He was devoted to serving Jehovah God & sharing the Bible truths at every opportunity. He looked forward to the resurrection hope to see his youngest son Robert again very soon. 

 

He is Survived by his daughter, Julie Fecteau and her husband James of Mechanic Falls, his son Daniel of Auburn, and his grandson Joshua Fecteau of Hudson Florida. He is predeceased by his son Robert Vachon of Auburn.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 721 Webster Street in Lewiston at 2pm on Saturday, January 11, 2018.

my deepest sympathies to the family. Jules became a very good friend to my father prior to my father's passing in 2014. They were not of the same religion, but respected each other to look beyond it and cherish the friendship bond they had. I will always remember his kind & soft-spoken spirit.

A kind, very generous man was Jules. He will be missed by all who knew him. Looking forward to his chuckle when he is resurrected.
