Sylvia A. (Preston) Seiders

Portland, ME – Sylvia A. (Preston) Seiders, 60, of Portland, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2017 at Maine Medical Center.

She was born in Portland, ME at Mercy Hospital on January 7, 1957 a daughter of the late Forrest LeRoy and Laura Louise (Cottle) Preston Sr.  Sylvia worked for a time at Fairfield Inn and Bradlees.

Sylvia was an outgoing person that lived with her heart on her sleeve and cherished the best of anyone she came in contact with throughout her life.  It never mattered how awkward of a moment she was in, she would make you, and all the people around you smile, shake their heads and chuckle...

She had a way to brighten a room when she told her stories with animation, trying to make you feel as if you were there.  She lived her life full of love and as happy as the Big Guy above would allow her without getting out of control; because he knew how she could be. Always smiling down on her I'm sure.

Sylvia is and always will be remembered and loved by all her friends and family.  Forever blessed Sylvia Annette Seiders, may your memories live with us all and fill us with the love you showed us all....  We all love you!

She is survived by her children Gary L. Seiders Jr. of Winslow and Stephanie M. Seiders of Westbrook.  She also leaves her siblings Alice Preston of Portland, Geraldine Moody of Belfast, Elizabeth Mason of Portland, Jonathan Preston of Portland, Sheila Moore of South Portland and Melvin Cottle of Parsonsfield as well as her nieces and nephews Rebecca Mason, Frederick Mason, Michale Smith, Debra Moody, Charles Seger and Laura Heroux.

There will be no funeral per Sylvia's wishes.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Sunday, March 11, 2018 from 12 - 4 p.m. at the Sagamore Community Building, 34 Popham Street, Portland, ME.
