Georgina L. (Germano) Johnson

Gorham, ME - Georgina L. (Germano) Johnson, 60, of Gorham, slipped peacefully into the arms of her Beloved Lord, on Thursday, August 2, 2018.

She was born June 22,1958 to Domenico Germano Jr and Julia M. Locke Germano and attended South Portland schools.   For 25 years, Georgina worked as a nursing assistant caring for others, but her true calling was being a Mom.   Georgina’s son Timothy Germano was the light of her life.  Though he lives in a full care facility due to his disabilities, Georgina was always with him participating in his care and his life; always making sure “her boy” Timothy’s needs were met.

Her love and devotion to her son is an inspiration to all.  Georgina was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Domenico Germano III. She is survived by her husband Jeffrey of 28 years, her son Timothy, who resides at the Barron Center, and her sisters Darcy Lydon and Jessica Parsons and their families.  Georgina (Gigi, Georgie)’s love, kindness, smile and sense of humor will be missed.

Family and friends are welcome to attend a graveside service on Wednesday, August 8 at 11:00 a.m. at Brooklawn Memorial Park, 2002 Congress Street, Portland immediately followed by a Celebration of Life at the Barron Center, 1145 Brighton Ave Portland.
