Sharon L. (MacCormack)

Cumberland, ME - Sharon L. (MacComack) Rushton, beloved wife and mother, 68, a long time resident of Cumberland died on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.  She was the wife of Arthur J. Rushton Jr.

She was born in Portland, ME on February 6, 1950 a daughter of the late Walter MacCormack & Rosalie (Wallace) MacCormack.  She graduated from Greely High School and was a State Diving Champion in 1967 and 1968.

Sharon taught costuming for modern dance for a good number of years at Brockport State in New York, University of Ohio and Athens Ohio College.  She then spent her final twenty three years before retiring at LL Beans.

She loved her flower garden and enjoyed bird watching; she could be found interacting with fellow parishioners, but loved her family above all.

Besides her mother and husband Sharon is survived her daughter Elizabeth Rushton and her son David Rushton.  She also leaves her sister Janice Zarco and James and Chris Nelson.
